SR-2
The SR-2 Rollsharp is the easiest way to make sure that your MAC knives stay razor-sharp. This device both hones and sharpens your knife at the proper 15 degree angle on both sides of the knife. Each forward and back stroke finely grinds and polishes both sides of the knife simultaneously for quick results. The gentle nature of the ceramic wheel reduces the risk of grinding an excess amount of metal away from the knife, ensuring the longest possible life for the knife.
SRB-104
This 10½” honing rod has a medium (approximately 2000 grit) surface that polishes your edge smooth. This rod has a steel core with rubber in between to reinforce the rod while providing shock absorption. The tip has a rubberized plastic end cap to absorb shock and to stabilize the rod against your cutting board when using it. The black ceramic material is a new type of ceramic that is much harder than traditional white ceramic. This means it will quickly realign an edge and works well on harder Japanese steel knives which tend to have a higher Rockwell (hardness).
SRB-84
This 8½” honing rod has a medium (approximately 2000 grit) surface that polishes your edge smooth. This rod has a steel core with rubber in between to reinforce the rod while providing shock absorption. The tip has a rubberized plastic end cap to absorb shock and to stabilize the rod against your cutting board when using it. SS-1
This is one of the first MAC sharpener designs. This coarse grit stone should be soaked in water for 2 minutes before use. Use it like a file and slowly work your way up and down each side of the blade. The “foot” near the handle helps to gauge the proper angle. 250 grit.
TCS-2
This tungsten carbide sharpener can be used on a variety of tools including kitchen knives, scissors, garden shears, hatchets, axes, and saws. Tungsten carbide is a very hard metal that can be used to scrape away metal from softer steels. Use the tungsten carbide side to scrape metal away and use the ceramic side to polish. Great for getting between serrations or for quickly sharpening small hunting or pocket knives. The small size is convenient for kitchen drawers, knife kits, tackle boxes or even in your pocket.
